"He could get snapped up" - Confident QPR, Marti Cifuentes prediction issued

Queens Park Rangers boss opens up on Ilias Chair's future

R's chief makes admission over star performer

Queens Park Rangers manager Marti Cifuentes has offered a prediction over the future of Ilias Chair amid speculation surrounding his future.

The Moroccan was linked with a move to the Premier League during the summer transfer window, with Fulham, Nottingham Forest and Newcastle United all said to be interested.

Chair ended up staying at Loftus Road, but his impressive form has seen him linked with a move away once again.

Cifuentes is aware of the speculation surrounding his player, but he is confident that Chair will remain at QPR for the foreseeable future.

"Ilias is a very good player," Cifuentes said. "He is a player that has a lot of potential and he is a player that we want to keep.

"I understand that there is speculation about his future, but I am confident that he will stay at QPR.

"He is a player that we believe in and we want to keep him here for as long as possible."

Chair has been in impressive form for QPR this season, scoring three goals and providing three assists in 10 appearances.

The 24-year-old has been a key player for the R's and has helped them to climb to fourth in the Championship table.

QPR will be hoping to keep Chair for as long as possible, but they know that he is a player that is attracting interest from other clubs.

If QPR do end up selling Chair, they will be looking for a significant fee for the player.

Chair is under contract at QPR until 2025, so the R's are in a strong position to negotiate a good deal for the player.
